Aug 17, 2015 · Ethernet Cable Unplugged??? For Starters steps i have taken to fix issue. Several reboots and power downs. changed cable . changed switch. added extra NIC. changed router. Plugged pc direct in to router bypassing and disabling rest off my network. removed and reinstalled driver
2. Make certain the network cable is plugged in securely to the computer. If there are no flashing lights there is a problem. When I bring up "Network Connections", the Local Area Connection (Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller" shows a red X, with the status "Network cable unplugged". This is even with a known good network cable plugged into the back of my 8500.
